Mods hurt or help resale?
#11
I have NEVER lost money on a bike i modded out... EVER, granted i do not do much bolt on mods like you typically see... but never lost money, to give you example, my brothers sporty, he bought it in 03 for 7500, we sold it for 8200 last summer! he got paid to ride his bike for the past few years! all depends on the mods man, every bike i do the first thing i put on it is a small "for sale" decal... if someone wants it bad enough, EVERYTHING is for sale (just can not get myself to put one on my bob)

"Bobbers" have been a "fad" since the end of WWII. So I don't think being a "bobber" will hurt resale chances. What does hurt resale are things that are beauty only in the eyes of the beholder - such as paint jobs, unusual wheels, radical lowering, super high handlebars, jockey shift/foot clutch, etc.
