I absolutely HATE riding when its windy.. on my way back from Leesburg, it was the windiest day I've ever ridden in. I was constantly getting pushed from the wind, and the bike felt like it was going to fall over. VERY uncomfortable feeling..
I find it does get winding when I'm riding...90-100 mph. I sometimes just get into a tuck position on the cycle, somewhat like riding a sportbike and put my legs on the passenger pegs. Works for me.
I would trade some of this ice and snow for a little wind if it's warm. Seems like it's been winter for 6 months. One place the wind does really bother me is going across New River Gourge Bridge, your about a mile up in the air and a good breeze will give you a pucker factor of about 9.
We get a lot of wind in Oklahoma….I dread to see the forecast of a nice sunny day coming up and windy in the forecast with it. The Street Bob seems to make it a more fair fight with the wind than I felt like I had with the Nightster. That Nightster would get blown all over the road pretty easily. Just riding at highway speed seemed like a challenge sometimes in fairly decent weather.
You need to modernize and use an ipod! I have the speakers in my helmet and rock away going down the road! It pisses my MC Brothers off sometimes as we ride in a pack and sometimes I loose focus as I am rocking out! LOL
ha ha ha sorry brother, i have modernized... I made my own stereo... it uses a 150 watt amp and 2 full range speakers, hardlines into the bike and is all quick release... i can hear it clear as day till i hit about 95-100 (into the wind) then i start to loose it, it all works off an i pod... it rocks! and it is the cleanest set up out there!
Joe you got your amp, speakers and everything required in that bag? Is it powered from your tender connection looks really nice I wouldn't mind somthing similer
