And as far as insurance is concerned... in Florida we have no fault. My insurance company pays after my $500 (DAMMIT) deductible. Then they surcharge me until I'm 137years old.
WTF????!!!!! dude im stationed in pensacola and back in 07 i got hit head on when some dumb B!@#$ tried to make a left hand turn (she violated right of way) and her insurance company paid for my bike and MOST of the hospital bills (most cause the b!@#$ had the minimum coverage) but atleast her company had to pay. it just doesnt sound right that you have to pay the deductable for that.
Frame still straight? Motor still motors? Tranny still shifts? Pfft.. dude yer good. Just think - New parts compliments of her insurance... She had insurance RIGHT?
YEP and RETAIL prices for all the parts she replaces. It's time to UPGRADE!!!
No fault doesn't mean that your insurance pays it all. They pay for your bike to get fixed and then go after her insurance company. Generally, they settle all that with one call. I am in Milton bro.

Topspin,
You can win this!!!
Did she admit fault? Was there a police report?
Better yet, go back to that parking lot and see if there are security cameras.
You will have to pay the deductible but you can get that back. I live in Florida and a pack of teens pulled out in front of me and smashed my mustang. They were fully at fault and their moms insurance company fully subrogated my insurance company.
I got my $500 back after about 8 weeks.
As much as it sucks to have that happen to you, you gotta feel better by now with all the good advice (and sympathy) from your fellow riders. Throwing stuff only helps for a little while and something usually ends up getting broke.
A guy out here I know had is bike painted by the ins company's recommended painter. He wasn't happy with the paint job and asked the adjuster to come take a look. He told the adjuster and the ins company the bike was going to a painter of his choice and they would pay for it. And they did. But he was tough with them - and got what he wanted...
