Where to buy the BEST QUALITY heat wrap?

Advance Auto Parts carries it for about the same as it would cost to get someone to ship it to ya, I think.
Here's a link:

do you typically use the paint on yours then? i also like the "faded" look of some of the cheaper stuff, but i don't want to run into water problems later on.

I used DEI 1" X 50' was around $50.00 Cdn. I am glad I didn't use the 2" as I think it would have bunched up in the curves. I soaked it real good, took my time and wrapped it damn tight. No paint, I like the faded look. Good luck! And Yeah...wear long sleeves and *****ty clothes cause it can get messy.

Yes, you can get it wrapped tighter if you wet it real good and kinda stretch it as you install it. It actually contracts a little as it dries so it will be nice and tight on the pipes.
I have not tried this yet, but mine is installed on a car header. You don't have anywhere near the wear issues when it's safely under the hood away from weather and wind. Mine still looks brand new.
