I was looking at doing the same. I bought the rigid mount rack for my 06 street bob, but never installed. I just don't know if I want to go through the install just to take it off because I don't like it. You want it? Cheap plus ship.

Here are a couple of shots of the Motherwell rack I had before for comparison.

I was still debating about the backrest...can you step back and take a long shot with the seat and backrest on?

Here is a pic of the whole bike. The whole reason I went with this set up was to ride solo and have a passenger seat when I needed it, a rack to hold stuff that won't fit in my T-Bag and I can put my T-Bag on the rack if I want. All in all the pillion set up doesn't look all that bad, IMO. I believe the back rest is for a VRSC model.

I just ordered mine. not cheap but seems worth it to have a seat that detaches easily plus i need the luggage rack. The passenger pillion is pretty wide (11"), i imagine it would be comfortable for a longer ride.

it certainly wasn't cheap, but i got a bit of a discount going through a guy on eBay.
