I have been watching craigslist using Craig's Helper - Search Craigslist Quickly and Easily .

If I find a newer Sporty and I like it, then I won't pass it up. I'm more searching for a Dyna, but I'm not being close minded. I've seen a ton of the older EVO touring bikes on ebay in my range too. That would be nice to have a bunch of creature comforts too.

The midwest is chock full of used HD bikes.

i know they are not all dyna's but all are harley davidson i think all owners can be talked down on price.

That '80 FLH looks fun at $6500. It fits the bill of a daily rider with all that luggage. I'd carry some tools with me, though.

Yeah, I'm at Purdue, but I doubt I know him hehe. Something like 40k students here and I'm a Senior stuck in the same building all day. Electrical Engineering Technology here, whats your lil bro into? Northern Indiana has some great twisty backroads and plenty of tilled fields to ride into the sunset with, but the window of riding season can be fickle. They like to say if you don't like the weather in Indiana, then stick around for five minutes. Luckily I'm in the crossroads of America, so I can pretty much hop on a road and get around easily to anywhere east of the Mississippi.
