Default HD synthetic saddlebags mounting hardware kit

'02-'05 models require separate purchase of Mounting Hardware Kit P/N 92025-09.

anyone know what the deal is with this kit? do I have to pay $40.00 for nuts and bolts or is there more to it?

I have the leather hard bags they came mounted so I don't know what mounting equipment you would have to buy, but I just purchased the Quick release bolts. They are expensive at $140 but it will be nice to be able to take the bags off now and then.

My current ones just have a long bolt that goes from the fender through the back rest supports to the bags.

I got the synthetic bags for mine also and was told I would need mounting hardware but when I got my bags in. They all ready had the hardware in it. I'm not sure if it will be the kit you will need but you may wait till you get them in to check.

What are these "quick release bolts" of which you speak?

I don't have the part # for them or even if they are technically called a bolt. I went into my local HD store and they where able to order them for me. I should recieve mine after the weekend I can let you know a part # then if you would like.

Thanks, I am curious. I just bolted on my bags "permanently". Quick-off would be handy. I have looked at Easy Brackets but they move the bags out a lot.
