I got the same bags for my 06. not the best lookin bags in the world, but they're great on long trips.(dealer hade a 20% off sale) I made mone removable by replacing the bolts with threaded rod and acorn nuts. Not crazy bout all that hardware stickin out all the time so i bolted them to my removable side plates so they come off at the same time as my backrest and rack, which I only use occasionally. Dont know about the 05 but mine had all the hardware in the box.

 

I used the hardware that came with the bags, the motor co. also couldnt tell me why I needed to buy more hardware.
I didnt use the spacers cuz I hated how it looked,I dont think there will be any clearance issues.
