Saddle Bag supports

RE: Saddle Bag supports
I just got my saddlebags today from Willie & Max and I am going to breakdown and get the detachable brackets tomorrow. I got the SB708 Black Magic Compact Slant bags and they fit great but I can see now why I should have the brackets.

I am looking for supports as well. I am not willing to go the $145.00 route for the detachables. Plus, I already have the hardware installed for my detachable back rest. I made some out of some sheet metal that will do for the time being. They ain't purty but they keep my bags away form my wheel hardware, besides that you can't see them anyway. I am still looking however for something a little more substantial than what I have.

I like those bags, BUT did you/will you have to relocate the turn signals (even though they are compact/slanted)?
THANKS!

I tried them for fit last night and thet drop right between the shock and t/s. No relocation neccessary. I am thinking of ordering brackets but may not need to. I will get a better idea this weekend when I can pull it out and look at it in good sunlight (I hope)

I just recieved some easy brakets from E-bay 129.00 including shipping, took about 15 minutes to install and I have HD detachable sissy bar. Pretty cool and they are stout...[sm=smiley20.gif]

Here are some pictures of the installed EASY brackets minus bags.... Will not buy thise until I get new pipes..
Other wise very easy to install and not bad looking from a detached point of view...
The mounts stick out about 2 5/8 inches, including the HD detachable mount and the easy mounts, with the brackets on they stick out about 3 1/4 inches from fender. See pictures 2, 5, 6.....Not to abtrusive...and they even sent chrome bolts with it...
Have a great day and keep it vertical...
