I haven't "invested" any money in my bike but I've spent a few bucks. Save a bunch by making my own stuff and doing my own wrenching, also learn something that way.

that's awesome as you easily have one of the sickest dynas on the forum...
I have a couple hundred in labor... tire & bearing install and front lowering kit install.
It would be a little less total If I did not go through a memory foam seat debacle. Also lost a few buck changing to black 412's(from the chrome ones) and handlebar experiments.

Thanks rounder,

I'm always looking for deals on EBAY. When I bought the bike I set a buget of $5,000. Which I think I'm doing a good job of staying within buget. That total of $3000 will be going up in March when I install my 103". But I sill be whithin my buget. A few months ago I was able to find a brand new SE 103 kit minus the slipons, a/c, and cams for $250 bucks. So now I just have to get a set of Woods cams and springs and I'll be set.

I have about 6k into my fat bob, most of it engine/power. 113 build, SE slip ons, Power commander, windvest, Se air filter.
Do all my own wrenching and make it when I can. Also do my own powder.
I ended up spending a little extra on parts using my sniping program for ebay and forgetting to cancel bids when I won what I needed. Ended up with two sets of SE heads, the ACR's and a set of 103+'s. ended up with a complete 103 build with cams and slipons that I got before I decided to go all the way to 113. build is Halfway done at the moment.
I will recoup some of that by selling off my extra parts.
I bought the 113 stuff by the piece. Cylinders, High comp pistons, SE251 cams, ACR heads, 58mm throttle body and manifold, cylinder studs, gaskets, new crank. and a few other odds and ends. I am having the case bore and crank done by a shop.

I lost the list i was keeping when my computer crashed but i have around 4k in extras or little more and i did all the labor myself. Alot of cosmetic stuff the harley skulls turn signal covers, led tail light, power commander, stage I, Big radius, sissy bar, forward controls, etc etc. But its all worth it and i plan to keep her and buy another when shes paid for.

I never really stopped to think about how much I have invested.......maybe I should. I do know the only things I have left to do is------chrome fork tubes, some lighting on the back end, and some labor cost for some backend goodies I've accumulated over the past 3 months (chrome rear rotor, chrome back brake caliper with braided brake line, and some chrome spacers).
