Default D&D Fatcats on a Dyna

I will be getting a new FXDC today, been looking at this section over the past week, lots of great info here. I ride a 09 Ultra (prior bike and first HD was RKC). In the bagger community the D&D Fatcats are quite popular but dont notice that many here on Dynas. Is there an issue that I am missing? Been very happy with D&D products on the baggers and love the performance, planing on hopping up this bike so want the right exhaust from the start. Just a HQ 103 or 107 for reference. Thanks for any input.

No issues that I am aware of. Several guys on here have them. The guys locally I know that have them swear by them. I bought my Thunderheader used from a guy that replaced his with a D&D FatCat. He says he likes the D&D's better.

But, when all is said and done... I love my Thunderheader!

Can't say anything about the Fat Cats, but I have the Python 2-1 and really like them.

My brother and I have the same set up (PCIII, Screamin' Eagle backing plate with K&N open filter) and Dyno'd by the same guy except he has the V&H Radius pipes and mine has the Python with a modded baffle.

Our HP numbers are very close, but my bike can pull on his...only thing I can attribute it to is the 2-1 pipe as we are close in weight and riding skill.

My post is probably not a big help...guess I'm trying to say they will probably perform good for you!

Welcome to the Dyna section...good people here!

blaster, if you're going with the HQ build (excellent choice),
ask Kevin Baxter about your pipe choice.

In my opinion, the FatCat is a good choice for the 103 or 107.

That HQ 107 can get you up well over 130 torque and 110HP....
with a proper tune.

On my HQ 121 I'm using the DandD BoarZilla,
(very similar to the FatCat but larger tubes).

I'm well satisfied with the DandD product.
but ask Kevin what he recommends for the package.

I like mine. Sounds like a hot rod IMO. Looks great too!
