Grip install - Doesn't fit properly or what?
Hey guys,
I meant to post this last week, but I've been putting it off.
I bought these nostalgic harley grips from Harley. As I was installing them on the throttle side, I can't tighten down the switch housing all the way or else the throttle locks up. Like the inside of the housing is clamping down on the cables, making it unable to move. And I can't adjust my cables all the way cause that locks it up as well. I had to put a very thin, tiny plastic spacer in the housing so that I could tighten the bolts down, but it was just a temporary fix. Any suggestions? Its really beggining to annoy me... I have quite a bit of play in my throttle since its not all the way adjusted. The throttle doesn't feel tight at all.. kinda hard to explain but its just loose and has play in it. Anyway, thanks guys!
Cheers,
Adrian

First suggestion, and not meant to sound insulting, are you sure the throttle lock isn't screwed in? Check the friction pad for the throttle lock and make sure it is seated properly.
If these don't remedy the problem, take a break, pull the throttle side off and redo it. Maybe something didn't go right and you missed it the first time around.
