Default SE extra heavy fork oil w/ stock springs???

How much improvement will I see with SE extra heavy fork oil and the stock springs? I have a leak in the fork seals (under warranty) so I thought about getting the thick stuff when they replace the seals. Advice and opinions needed please. Thanks!

I did the SE oil in mine. But I also did the springs at the same time. I did notice the front end was stiffer and more stable. It also doesn't dive as much under hard stopping. But I don't know if it was the spring or the oil that made the difference.

i did the SE oil only and it did improve the diving on the front end. Ultimately you need springs too but oil definitely helps.

I was going to put progressives in the front of ride. Odd thing i found was that the progressives call for regular fork oil. I called them and they said NOT to put in heavier oil with the stiffer springs. Basically the stiffer spring negates the need for thicker oil. So stock springs with heaver oil is the same as stiffer springs with regular oil. I ended up keeping my stock springs and had my local wrench put in the amsoil equivalent of the SE oil. Rides much better. So give the race oil a shot first with your stock springs.

So I can just add the spring later when cash permits? I'm not an expert on suspension so I wasn't sure what each component would do.

My .02 is replace the springs while it's apart. I put Progressive springs in mine and replaced as much oil as I could siphon out with the regular SE oil. Probably got half the original oil out. HUGE improvement over stock. Front end dive is practically nonexistant now.
