Not for everyone. but i love my setup.

front end dropped 1inch
drag bars on 4-1/2 pullbacks
HD floorboard kit
ness fairing
front and rear turns relocated
sick saddles alligator seat (from another user here)
V&H straight shot slip ons (from another user here)
Screaming eagle air cleaner (open element design)
V&H fuelpack
Sumax brackets and 2011 street glide bags (from craigslist)

the angle of the pic looks like the bags drop toward the back and stick out past the stock rear fender, but they all line up nicely and they are level with the pavement when i am riding.

I think it looks like an early Arlen Ness custom. (before he started making everything "swoopy" and "smooth")
I call it My D-Bagger.

I like it! Were you able to make both the bags and backrest QD or just the bags or either one for that matter?

The bags use the standard touring style 1/4 turn fasteners but the brackets stay on the bike. More or less.
They have a loop that supports the bottom of the bag and look pretty ugly alone.
Taking off the brackets is a six bolt affair that takes 10 mins or less, but I never do it.

The backrest is QD but I had to get some new bolts since neither one had the exact right ones that fit the other.
Very close tolerance between the two, but yeah..
