back in the 80's I had a nighthawk... It was styled after the "California custom look".
does anyone know how long your style of bike has been going on? I am actually sincerely interested. I think it would be cool to find out the history of the bikini fairing and who originally adopted it and so forth....
I know there is more to your styling than just the fairing , but, I consider that aspect the most unique of what you guys are doing to your scoots.

I can't say where this or that trend started, but I can say with confidence that anything done by any co. (US, Euro, or otherwise) will be copied by the Japanese in short order (they aren't called the great imitators for nothing). There's no denying that they make solid products, but they make a living ripping off design ideas.
