Joe, from the title you may be asking about issues with the '06 modelyear other than inner primary bearing. Do a search on stator failure, too. The solution is worth considering as preventive maintenance. Jay

The battery caddy bolts can come loose, so the builettin is to remove and locktite them but i had already done that when i put on forward controls, i had to remove it to get to the starter.
If you have a later production '06 mine was Feb '06 and it has the updated injectors, i think the updated are 36 degrees if i remember right.
My inner primary bearing started making noise at 14,000 and kept getting worse and i took it in at 14,500 and it was replaced under warranty. It would make the most racket if you had been riding around town at least 30 min and then stop at a light and put it in neutral and let the clutch out it would sound like a worn out dryer.
