Joe,

I did check out the bare knuckle boys earlier today, that thing is BEEFY! Where did you get that pic of the girder setup? That one I like! Looks heavier than the others I've seen.

Thanks again guys, keep 'em coming!

just do a google search... people seem to think that all girters are just super long, like in the 70's... not all of them are... that is just what you see the most of... there are still companies out ther that make them... then run about what a nice springer would cost ya... here is where i found that one:

Thanks Joe, I did find Durfee's earlier today. Not bad, but didn't see an option for all chrome.

Looking harder at it, I think the girder is probably out. The WG would be alot easier, but the springer would be pretty different.

Hmm, I think I better get ahold of gorilla, kpreese, and hellride for there takes on this too.

Thanks again all!

Well, I've done alot of thinking on it the last couple of days. I think if I were to go springer, I'd just go get a softail and be done with it. I just don't think the wrap around fender looks right, especially with the big *** tail light! Now, if I could easily change to a flush mount, and I do mean flush, I might reconsider.

I've attached a pic with the color. The bike isn't exacly like this currently, I just don't have an updated pic. I have put the stock seat back on, slightly different bars, and a fat cat. But, with the color, my options are limited, plus that damn tail light!

So, I think the WG front would look best at this point. Not to mention looking at it in the garage, it does look pretty good as is. Just fatten up the front with the beefy WG stance, and 18 and 21 for wheels, maybe a little tank lift, and a heavy breather or variant, and it should look pretty nice!

Tell me if I'm screwed in the head! I don't sleep much anymore! Thanks!

Mike

I was torn between the Wide Glide and the Springer front end, but I went with the Wide Glide. If I was to do the Springer, I would use the chrome Harley Davidson Springer with the dampener (shock), make it look like it came from the factory that way, and the only modifications I would do is to make the fork lock operational and center the wheel between the forks.

I almost bought a two tone blue & silver Low Rider, it was my first choice until I saw the green. Below is porker's bike, and as you can see that color combo goes well with chrome, looking at his bike, I feel like I stepped on my dick on color choices.............Ouch!

Bro -

Did you check out the front end man4mopar is putting on his Wide Glide? See his thread https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-it-comes.html

Another idea for you ...

Never had one, but Springers are pretty cool looking.
