+2 on the paint job.
Can't think of any glaring cons about the bike.
Wouldn't buy it thinking it was collectible or anything though.

Passed one up a year ago, a very nostalgic paint job. Was fortunate to see the original at Biketoberfest a couple of years back. Go for it !

that is true... but with the economy on a serious down swing i think i would have a hard time selling the drag car. have'nt really push to sell it yet either.
about 90% of people want to trade and not dish out any cash.

the only bad thing i have been reading on the model year in the stator problem.. is there a fix that can be done before it comes apart??

There's a couple on Harley's website in the used bikes place. These are dealers and they're asking both $13,995. Both less than 2k miles. They were overpriced when they were new and didn't sell well around here (SC). When I bought my '07 in late '06, the dealer still had 2 new FXDI35's left that he hadn't been able to sell.
Very neat bike, though. It became the FXDC in '07 minus the three tone paint job. $13,000 is probably a fair price. The '06 Dyna motor was a one year wonder being the new design Twin Cam but only 88 cubic inches.

+3 (or 4 or 5 ...) on the nostalgic tins and badge. I bought an '05 and the very next year was like "dude ... I'm tradin in" but never did. On my ship I use a "wallpaper" photo on my computer of an '06 in a rustic setting ... awesome photo.

I like it so much I am thinking of doing a "34th anniversary" tribute paint job, but going with different colors--gold base coat vice white, with H-D black and orange substituted for blue and red. Maybe paint a "34th" on the battery cover and electrical cover panel.
