Default Street slammer bars

I have a 2008 dyna low rider and my wife just went to the dealer to buy me street slammer bars for christmas and they told her that they would fit the year of my bike but not the model. They didn't sell them to her. Is this true, is there anyone that has installed them on a 2008 fxdl?

The reason they say that is you would have no where for your dummie lights. They say they wont work on my SG either because of the speedo. So the bars will work you just have to find other options for your lights.

+1 My FXDC wasn't on the approved list either, but after talking to the parts dude he ordered them.

I would buy them from Zanotti's or Chicago Harley and save the 20% plus tax vs buying from the dealer. You should be able to find the number on the HD website.

I think this is the number but double check it before buying 56391-04

I'd go aftermarket like wild 1's. HD is really proud of there stuff. I had wild1's 501. And they are really well built and finished bars for about 180.00. Buffalo's are some other brands.

Thanks brothers, I ordered the parts from chicago harley. I'm sure I'll be back for help with the install in a couple of months.
