Thanks guys for the info. The pictures of your bikes are great--one last question--is there a black battery cover band as opposed to the chrome or aluminum look?
I've not seen any black bands but just remove it from the battery box scuff it up with some 200 grit sand paper and rattle can it. Others here have done it and it looks good.

200 seems a bit intense. Aren't there visible sand scratches in your paint job? I would think you'd want to scuff with 600, at the least.
