Default HELP Which is oil plug to drain oil?

Got er done................

Got confused when got under bike, there are few plugs on my TC 88, one at primary cover, next to primary cover, under tranny.

Is the one facing primary by kick stand?

Thumbs up Oil Plug

Yes it is...faces out. Make sure you get more than a quart out of the hole otherwise try again.

now THAT is funny....

To the original poster, the tranny holds a quart, the primary holds a quart, if you don't get more than a quart out, you've taken out the wrong plug.

The drain plug is identified by the hex head and the allen in the center........it is not a bull plug.

Don't ask me how I know...

HDDyna2006,

I'd suggest 99481-06A, Service Manual, '06 DynaŽ Models and

99439-06A, Parts Catalog, '06 DynaŽ Models .

Order from any Harley Dealer. Save yourself headaches and wondering if you're draining the correct plug or ordering the right part.

Helpful hint on the oil changes. Pull the oil dipstick out prior to draining the oil, it's been known to trap oil and when you put the new oil in the oil resevoir will be over filled. This has been on several forums including this one.
