Default What do I need to mount mid pegs?

I'm planning a long trip in the spring and would like to add some dummy pegs in the mid-mount spot just to have another foot position for stretching. What do I need to mount pegs in that spot? I've seen it done on bikes at dealers, but never looked closely at the mount.

Can someone point me in the right direction? I have the parts for the stock mid controls in a box that came with the bike but I've never looked closely to see exactly what's in there.

Just mount em! Use the stock mounts, and your pegs, and voila! Not sure what your trying to ask, if you have your stock mid controls.

Hmm, well, in the box there is one mount, the left side one, so that will work, but the right side mount, brake pedal and linkage are all connected and it doesn't appear to be removable from the mount itself... Do I need to buy the just the right side mount without the pedal?

The brake pedal should come off from mid mount, is secured with a pin I believe. and mounts screw to frame with big allen screws, you should have four, release plastic caps from frame, stop by HD dealer and take a look at Dynas with midmounts.

man thats a good idea, i got forwards but i ride in every position imaginable, heels on the forwards, ankles stretched out past the forwards, left foot on the tranny, and i even ride with my feet on the passenger pegs, so i know what u mean about switching up, im going to look into getting me some mid mount pegs also, nice post

I wouldn't change the controls, just get the mounts for the mids and scrounge up some pegs. I'm doing the same on my Fat Bob - changing the controls requires a whole new primary cover.

I do the exact same thing. I've also got those Kury highway peg mounts for forward controls, so I can also throw my feet way out there. I want the dummy mids for standing up and "readjusting"

I will take another look at that mount that's got the brake pedal attached and see if I can't get it all to come apart.

I left my mid pegs on just for that reason Sounds like you have everything you need but extra set of pegs One quick question does your heat shield still have the recess in it or was it changed peg mount fits in recess
