Default V&H Straight Shot Slip On's

Who out there uses them and what do you think of them? I want to swap out the stock mufflers and I'm leaning towards the V&H version. Tell me, good, bad or indifferent. Thanks

I have them with the Quiet Baffles. The Q baffles tone down the harsh sound of the regular baffles.

Think they are great and never regretted the purchase. Nice rumble at idle and low speed, and open up sound-wise when at throttle.

I like them as much as I liked the V&H straight shot full pipes that my friend has on his '05 Low Ride and with more & more towns and cities cracking down on loud pipes it won't hurt as much when I have to go back to stock.

I just recently put a pair on. Love the sound, perfect with the quiet baffles. It sounded a bit raspy to my ear with the stock baffles. They didn't quiet it much but deepened the tone and shifted the torque toward the low end.

Look and sound is absolutely first rate. Do what the others have said, and get the quiet baffles.

I just rigged these V&H mufflers onto my FatBob. They were on my 92 XL. I've got three sets of removable baffles for them, the stock set sound great.

I'm running mine with BCT baffles. I personally didn't care much for either the stock or quiet baffle sound.

Can anybody attest to the HP increase or limitation with this setup? If engine mods are planned for the "long term list", will the slip-ons limit me or set me back with regards to increased power?
