I'm running these on my bike with the stock baffles and love the way they sound and look.

 

+1 on the "quiet baffles". Throw on a pair of XiEDs from Nightrider.com and those slip ons will sound even better and your bike will gain a bit more pep! I've got 7k on my V&H slipons with the "quiet baffles" and XiEDs and would recommend them to anyone who asks. In fact, I just did!

 

These were one of the first mods I put on and thought they ran and sounded great. Put in the quiet baffles and I liked them even more. Every time I start thinking about another exhaust system I have to remind myself that they are a great deal, and the Thundermax took the sound to another level.

 

From what i was told, stock pipes have 82db v&h slip ons have 97db br ss and side shots around 101-104 depending on which one,but they are all pretty close in db.

 

I had SE slip-ons on my '99 Super Glide and my 2000 Electra Glide bagger. They were a big improvement over stock. But I finally pulled the trigger on V&H Big Radius for my Fat Bob.........boy do I love the sound. Yes, they cost more but I figured this was probably my last Harley, so what the hell!!! IMHO - You just can't get that with slip-ons! I love how they look also!!
