I have the Sears red jack.
When I use it on dirt I put a peice of 1/2" plywood down under the jack on fairly "LEVEL" ground. I cut a peice to fit between the wheels of the jack and and a few inches wider then the jack.
I got tired of messing with the HD adapter kit so I now use 2 peices of 1/2" plywood in the front 1 peice of 1" plywood of the rear left and 1/2" plywood on the right rear. I use a piece of 2x6 under the jiffy stand and some times I have to put down a peice of 3/4" plywood under the back tire.

I have that exact jack and adapters and use it on my 07 SB. It works great just make sure you have it placed exactly underneath. When you lift it it is a little tricky because I hold the handle bars with one hand and jack with the other until it just leaves the floor. The bike is a t a slight lean until both wheels are off the ground. Just be careful and it works great.

So instead of the adapter I can use ply wood on the left back and in the front?

I have a bunch of 3/4" stock that should work at home.
Thanks.

use a 2x4 to roll the rear wheel up onto. I used 2 10lb. barbell weights.

i gave away the adapters and used 3 2x4s, 1 1x4. glued em to the jack. faster and more solid than the adapters.

txtec,

Your idea sounds best! Can you post a photo of your jack with the 2x4s glued to the jack?
