I used to get **** for what most people referred to as "funky looking" dyna: goofy 10" risers, 70s metric 2-1 exhaust, monkey f*cking a football mids, and 4x4 suspension, etc. etc. amazing what a couple of years and a TV show can accomplish...I'll be the first one to admit that I copied all those things from the Local, but I knew that's what I wanted since before I had hairs on my chin...

SOA=Sons of Anarchy (TV drama about an outlaw biker club) Those pics in the original post are some of the bikes from the show.

I'm torn. I wanted to paint the scooter black and put on a fairing long before the show (haven't actually seen it, in fact).

Now I'm worried I will look like a tool.

Default Hmmm...

After you pick up that new Ness fairing and a rattle can of flat black, you can go grab a flannel shirt and some white sneakers and be just a streaky-blond dye-job away from....

Ah, you get it. I loved the black-out look too -until HD's Dark Custom program and that soap opera that features about 30 seconds of bikes per episode stepped in and turned it into a fad.

Its bad enough that show has got every couch potato I pass at the gas station asking "what gang are you in?".

<sigh>.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I want to know how effective these ¼ fairings are? I'm new to riding. I got my bike a few months ago and it did not have a windshield. At speeds over 60mph my head gets buffed (wearing a ½ helmet) all over the place. I soon bought the hd quick detachable sport windshield and the difference is amazing but I do not like the look of the windshield. So how does the ¼ fairing compare to a traditional windshield. Thanks
