WOW Lorance66 ! That FatBoy headlight looks fantastic there.
As I saw the title of the thread; I knew I was gonna HATE it. What a surprise!
Way to go. I also don't care for tank lifts on the Fat Bob, but WOW, with your new light, it really sets it off very nicely as the lines flow so smoothly. Well done.

Cheers,Brit.
I would have to say I liked the dual headlight better, for the purpose of lighting the road, i.e. functionality however the single 7" light (H6024) is just as bright. The one and only reason I would choose the dual over the single is because on hi-beam the single bulb is way high and to the left, which I cannot adjust out. It is just the bulb.

I still love the look of the single better though

dude, yours is looking good too. You are rockin' that black. I love it.

I like that (what looks to be) HID insert there also. That might solve my aiming problem.

I've been thinking about doing this to my Custom. Since the FXDC has a single 5-3/4" headlight, is putting the 7" headlight and bucket from a Softail a simple bolt-on exchange, i.e., are the mounts to the triple tree the same?

mine was simple. It came with the mounting block otherwise you'd have to get one separately since the FatBob headlight will not fit the other but I remember seeing them on eBay and the block could be purchased separately. Other than that you will need a different plug which can be bought at any local parts store including PepBoys and AutoZone, etc. and a few connectors of your choice, I used crimp on bullet connectors but plan to get some solder-on connectors soon.

Then get the wires in the right place and you are done. It is really quite easy to do, you just have to be willing to cut some wires.....it bothered me to essentially add a connector in the circuit but I had to. It can be changed back though even easier now so I can choose what I run and maybe a 5 minute swap out.

Here's the link for the rear fender: http://u-station.de/umotor/mparts/part07/part07.html

The approximate cost in US Dollars is: $650.20

Here is a rough translation of the page from German to English:

No cut guards for the Dyna FatBob from 2008.
The No cut fender class was extended by a fender for the Dyna Fatbob.
With low expenditure there is to be been possibly to the rear part a new appearance. With the cleanly made guards for the classes frame interpreters do not need the original are separated. The original bench, the tax unity, as well as all connection material and electric material are further used by the original vehicle.
After the No cut
