Cflchurch.....I am going to post a pic I found on here somewhere of a Fat Bob with a fender I think I like. Might even go with a Street Bob fender or something like that. The bobtail fender is not all that bad and truthfully it will be WAY down the road before I change it. Too many cheaper mods I have to get done first.
Pythagrean....I thought it was relatively easy to do but a couple of things cost me some time. First of all, going from an H13 insert style bulb with a different connector, which if anyone is wondering is simply one teed off the other inside and no really special wiring, I had to figure out which wire went to which terminal. I spent 18 years of my life wrenching on cars and didn't even know which was hi beam, low beam, ground, etc....hahaha.....but a little google searching and I figured that out. Then I wanted to make it easily changeable in the future so I simply turned the wiring grommet around so it pushes in from the rear and used bullet connectors on each individual wire. Now if I do decide to put the dual light back on it I just have to put male bullet connectors on the stock pigtail (which I just cut off past the tee) and plug it right in. The grommet pushed in from the back allows me to take one connector out at a time and no re-crimping/soldering is necessary.
