First off.....my stock headlight is sold in case anyone reads about it.

I bought my headlight on Ebay and it was a take-off from an 08 Fat Boy. You can get other ones, all 7" headlights look pretty similar but make sure you get a mounting block for it. For me, I just wanted it to be easy so I bought the take-off with the mounting block on it.

As far as the actual light goes, a standard sealed beam headlight will work (6024) but you can get a plastic lens insert on ebay for $20-$25 and use a clip in H4 bulb which is what I changed over to. Might as well really since a halogen 6024 sealed beam costs about $25 anyway.

Also, which you may have read, you will need a different plug. I cut and butt-connectored my wires but there are other methods you can use which require removing the pins from the connector. The plug you need can be found at any parts store, just a standard 3-prong headlight connector, or I suppose you could just crimp on some spade connectors and not even need a plug but that is a little ghetto IMO.

That's about it though.....good luck!

Sorry to resurrect this old thread Lorance66, but I wanted to thank you for inspiring me to do this mod. I recently switched mine out for a similar headlight, although mine isn't OEM. I got it on ebay for 60 buck shipped, and I was a little iffy on the quality that it would be before it came, but when it arrived, I wasn't disappointed. It actually lights up the road better than the stock dual headlight ever did. Also, I think I've seen some more recent pics of your bike, and I think I ended up getting the same Kuryakyn Pilot foot controls as you as well, although I ordered those before realizing. Anyway, here's mine. Thanks again
