The front one is inside the plastic cover, just behind the voltage regulator. You'll need to unbolt the regulator, to get at it.
I was actually able to get at it just by unsnapping that plastic cover...took a bit of dexterity but no need to unbolt the voltage regulator. Thanks again!

Yep, as Goddahavit and Donny said!
Very easy to install. The rear cylinder one plugs in under the seat and is easy to plug in and tuck back in out of the way.
Like Donny said, the front cylinder will unplug under that plastic cover behind the voltage regulator. Then you have to use a tie-wrap or two when you plug in the XIED. Make sure you get the cable sung up against the frame rail, so it looks like a good clean factory install.

Did you use any kind of plastic or rubber tubing to cover that front cable, or did you just make sure it was secured out of sight?
No, I just played around with different positions until I came up with one that would allow it to all fit snug up against the down tube.
I then used two tie-wraps to secure it to the down tube.
Allow me to hijack this thread....Has anyone had their bike dynoed with just the Xieds ? I am running them but it just seems weak. I am wondering if the bike is really getting enough fuel.
