Can someone out there tell me what the punishment is for keeping stock exhaust ? Dragged naked by a Sportster through Sturgis ?

Don't get me wrong, I'm duly impressed with what you guys do and I was always blowing up balloons and tying 'em off my bicycle's spokes for added noise as a kid... BUT

I'm having nightmares about the baffle police coming to haul my pansy ars away.

Maybe its age (58 last week) and being new to motorcycles,but I'm okay with the stock setup, I think....anyone else out there like me ? Be honest now !

I'm sensitive, confused, and could go either way so be nice. Thanks guys

There's nothin' wrong for leaving it stock...it's whatever floats your boat. I just like to "personalize" my bike and add a little rumble in the jungle.

Congrates on your new ride and keep the rubber side down.

 

the only person that has to like your bike is YOU. And maybe your wife. (personal experience) other than that just ride the Sh#t out it and enjoy every minute of it. Besides, most cops where I live have HDs themselves with aftermarket pipes.

The punishment? Don't know. There is no precedent to follow. I didn't know it was possible. I guarantee if you hang around here any length of time you will do something to it.

 

OK - now I'm getting scared .........

 

I went with the new quiet SE II slip ons and I like them. Not much louder, just a deeper note. There hasn't been any jail time for me. In fact I get lots of comments on how good my bike sounds, just not from other Harley riders. They're a tough crowd.

 

dad left his stock pipes on... granted i cut the baffel in 1/2 and re jetted the bike but they LOOOK stock

 

nothing wrong with stayin stock... you'll be the one your friends pick to sneak up on people in the dark.
