Okay....I see what's happening. Reading all these threads for the past 2 months has infected me pretty good. No choice but to embrace it all and be one with it.
Like a neck bite from a vampire.........my normal life is over.
Hey MIDLIFE RIDER....thanks for the reply. You are an inspiration for sure.
My wife now is even talking exhaust mods for her Super Glide. I can see this getting out of hand real quick. Darn affliction it is....how about a bailout package for newly broke Harley owners ?

I took a 3/4" tire iron and used it to punch a 3/4" hole in the stock exhaust baffles. I like the sound, and the bike breathes a bit better without hammering my ears. I have 83,000+ miles on my wide glide and it still runs great and gets me 50 mpg without ticking others off, works for me---jack

Your neighbors would probably even like it better if you sold your bike and got a car then gave them all your extra cash. Don't try to live to please others, forget them and please yourself. Life becomes much more enjoyable when you do that.

I put 4 different sets of slip-ons on mine and 1 complete system looking for the sound I wanted. That was for me, not my friends or neighbors. I take it easy "in the hood" out of consideration, but I just couldn't stand the sinus infection sound of the stock pipes.
