...form a financial standpoint it makes sense...

...we do it for looks, sound and power...

...if you care not to improve this things, no reason to change a thing.

Consider yourself blessed! Those of us who feel the need to mod the crap out of bike suffer from both thin wallets and angry wives...

I guess stock exhaust is okay if you like it. I don't think age has anything to do with your choice though. I'll be 71 next month and definitely don't care for stock exhaust.

I @#$%^& hate my stock pipes...a buddy of mine said I sounded like a Honda the other day. New pipes are the next mod.

With stock exhaust, the sound of a Harley is still distinct from the sound of any other bike, even if they have modded exhaust. Satisfy your ears, wallet, and tastes.....without the attempt to appease others.

Damn I'd have more money if I'd followed that advice.

I run stock, and it really doesnt bother me much.
I like being the quiet guy riding down the street at 2 in the morning. Makes for neighborhood harmony

Man, I tell ya.. if there was anything that I absolutely HATED about my bike when I first got it, was that it was so damn QUIET!!!!!! Torture for me man.. I hated it. I guess everyone is different, but man, everytime I see a guy at bike night with stock/quiet pipes, I feel for them and very thankful thats not me anymore!
