Default Winter project

Hey guys I wanted to share my excitement with you all, i'll make it short. I was able to get a rear wheel off a Cross Bones (friend just bought one and put a Heartland 250 kit on it) and I am planning on putting it on my Bob and chopping the rear fender but I'm not sure what to do about signals and the brake light. I saw someone who had a rear end that kind on looked like the Nightster and that is what I am after so any input and suggestions is greatly appreciated. I think I am going to keep the fender struts for now. I have attached a pic of what my bike currently looks like and a pic of the new wheel.

Maybe I'm missing it but the stock rims looks black with chrome spokes...and the 'new' rim looks like it also has black rim with chrome spokes. So I'm not really seeing the big picture.

i guess the tire is a 200 as opposed to the 160 ?

how are you going to chop that fender and keep the struts?

why replace the whole rim... why not jsut put on a 200 tire? you are still going to have to make the spacers nessassary to do the swap to 200

^^^^ joe a 200 will not fit on our stock SB rim from what I understand. The wheel in the picture is the Cross Bones wheel it is a 200/55 17. I want-need a bigger back tire and I think the 180 kit the Dealer sells for our Dyna will not satisfy me, so I thought since my friend was getting new wheels I could use his rear wheel off the Cross Bones on my bike. Joe if you can think of or know of an easier way for me to put a 200 rear tire on please let me know, I appreciate it man. I am aware that I need to relocate the brake light and possibly the turn signals but I will figure that and the fender out once the 200 is on the bike

I looked at a 99 fxdx prior to getting my 07 sb, and it had a 200 kit from Big boar products on it..

Im not sure whats changed from 99 to 09 but I know on the 99 it needed a thinnner belt, and different swingarm..

I cant wait to see it..
