So I am going with some drag bars or T-bars this winter and as you all know the 09 Bob came with integrated risers on the triple clamp. My question is can I buy just a upper clamp that will work with my factory set up or due I have to buy a whole new tree set up, and if I can buy just the upper clamp how much should i expect to pay I cant find just a upper clamp in my JP catalog. Also how hard is this to change can I do it with a manual in my garage or do i need to pay someone, will I need any special tools? Thanks for all your help part numbers welcome, I would also like to see some pics of BOBS with Dragbars....
i did it on my 08 street bob i bought a set of 07 trees off the forum. i would also check ebay i saw some on there the other day. a service manual would have made life a lot easier .you might also look into the pinch bolt style. 2007 is different than 2008 so you might try to get top and bottom trees so they match.you will need a 1 1/2 socket for the steering head nut and a tourqe wrench along with torx and alen heads.good luck

Reason: forgot something
Hmmm... it depends. Was the 08 CVO a mid glide or wide glide tree equiped bike? Also, it's chrome and won't match your polished lower tree. That won't matter if you powder coat them both though.
No, that WON'T work. The CVO dyna has inverted forks...totally different than your conventional suspension. Keep lookin' on Ebay, eventually you'll find a set from an 06 or 07.
according to my local parts dept. harley does not sell the trees individually Anymore. Obviously they could be incorrect. If you have to buy the upper and lower setup the lowrider trees give you 1.5º of rake like jmpancoast has done to his bike in his sig above.
