I'm working on a winter paint job for my super glide and would like some help. I've seen several bikes with dragonfly green as the primary color and vivid black in a teardrop on the tank and black inserts on the fenders. Has anyone here done the opposite with black primary and dragonfly accent paint? Photos would be great, thanks.
That Dragonfly Green and Black combo was a Harley paint option a couple of years back. I've got a buddy with a XL1200 in that color and it's a pretty bike. You might try the photoshopping thread and see if someone would photoshop the green onto a picture of your bike. It's a good way to see if you really like the idea before you drop the money.
I think it's a great combo and have seen photos of a few. The thing I keep hearing is that green bikes are bad luck - I'm not superstitious but I don't want to kill the value of my bike. Then again, none of us get close to getting our money out of all the mods we do anyway.
Thanks - I'm a third generation James Garner. Grandfather born in the late 1890's -William James Garner; father born in 1925 - James Milstred Garner; me born in 1953, James Randolph Garner - my son born in 1979 - James Robert Garner. Hopefully someday my son with father yet another James. Family traditions are great. And, I agree the movie/tv star James Garner (James Bumgardner) was a cool dude.
That's my favorite Color Combo...I wish they'd bring it back!
Your Copper Top 105th also has an incredible paint job - especially in the sun. I came within an inch of ordering that paint job for my RKC instead of black, I wish now I had.
THANKS... I love it! Seems funny how the "Coppertop" was criticized and apparently didn't sell well but almost every time someone comments on my bike it's about how nice the paint job is! Go Figure!
