Posted by CptCeeJay: Tell me about your saddlebags. I like the hard bags. What did they come from? Also, what do you think of your Mustang vintage solo? My Corbin is 7 years old and in need of replacement. Are you happy with your Mustang? Is it the 13" or 16" wide seat?

Answer 1. My bags and SURFOR Chop's bags are 70s to early 80s stock Shovelhead bags. Our mounting brackets are different. Mine are an earlier style than his. The entire mount is behind the bag on mine. I thought that would allow me to mount the bag closer to the shock.

Answer 2. The Mustang solo is 16in wide. To me it is a very comfortable seat. I have two. One plain and one with studs and chonchos. The studded one has several wrinkles at the nose and one across the back. I going to have it recovered locally without the frills and keep it. The plain one is almost perfect. It is on eBay at this time. (If you are interested my eBay name is mcrider1955) In the added pics below is my 2-up Wide Classic Mustang. It's very comfortable for both riders. It's a keeper.

Here's some more shots of the bags. I plan to add more pictures to my Album this weekend.

Wide is Good.

Wait til you see pics of my ultra classic that I'm turning into a stock Super Glide!

Seriously though ...I wasn't expecting to like the looks of a touring fairing on a dyna glide....but it really looks sharp!

U-234,
Thanks for the info! The bags look great! I'll check out your seat on e-bay.

Chop,
The bike looks great! I like the combo of the color, the black rims, the wrapped exhaust and the matte finish engine. Great stuff!

Krusty,
You jest... but check out these "Road King to Dyna" conversions from Bruiser Inc. Thought you'd appreciate the irony.
