Question '09 Street Bob Owners

Have any of you found an aftermarket tail light that will fit the pre-drilled holes on your chopped fender, but doesn't look like the stock light?

Will do. If I could find a different tail light for the '09 fender, I'd be up for swapping my '08 fender for an '09...I'd rather do that than deal with chopping and painting mine.

Why don’t you take you stock license plate mount from your 08 chop it down, drill a couple of holes and run a 30's vintage light housing?

This had occurred to me earlier today...I like the old Model A lights. I'm willing to bet a new mounting bracket could be fabbed for it. I'd prefer to avoid drilling new holes but if that's the only option......

make a bracket that will work fot he light and set it up so it works on the existing holes... trace it out on cardboard and make it from metal... I am going to fill my holes this winter and make my own tail light set up as well... not sure what i am going with yet though... want to create some dice that light up for tail lights... there is a liscense plate bracket out there like i am talking but that is 400 bucks! i can make someting up way better for WAY cheaper!
