That is the very trim ring I'm using as well. Made a HUGE difference in the halo effect! Thanks for the pic Mascman! Nice looking rides BTW!

Just a heads up, while checking out the sylvania.com web site, I found a mail-in coupon for a $5 or $10 rebate on a pair of the Silverstar or Silverstar Ultra headlights.

I use the Ultras in my car and found that they don't last more than a year. I've went through 3 Ultras in the past 3 years, and replaced both sides each time one of them blows. It doesn't cost me anything to replace them, but it's more of a PITA.

My experience with the Sylvania Silverstars is that they SUCK. While they do throw a decent beam and amount of light their lifespan sucks...tried them twice and only got about three months out of them...the hi-beam would burn out. I'm currently running an Osram 60/70 watt and so far I'm really pleased with it, I've had it for a year and the light is much better than the Silverstar. Sylvania even admits the lifespan is short as this is the result of "overdriving" the lamp element. Osram (which owns Sylvania) also has a Silverstar line which is marketed in Europe and it's a MUCH better bulb...but the Osram bulbs can be hard to find in the USA.
