for parts you will need the following:
WG dash
WG idiot lamp cluster
new speedo
new ignition switch
WG tank top plate & gasket
WG leather or chrome dash panel
gas gauge and filler cap
misc screws gaskets etc.

for the install you will need to mount all the parts listed plus:
move the fuel pump
wire speedo and lamps.

there is certainly a lot of $ involved in this swap.

I just did '08 FXD to '08 SB its not hard just takes time. I will see if I can find the parts list to give you and Idea of the parts that go into a job like this. It was like $500 ordering the parts from Zanottis HD in PA. When I find the list I will pm u to get your email so I can send you the list.

Like others said its not hard just takes cash and time.

If you go with a street bob/low rider tank you can use your speedo. The Customs tank takes a 5 inch speedo, there is a adapter to make the 4 inch work but it doesnt look that good, from what I have seen.

Not only does the adapter look like crap - but it's more expensive than a new takeoff 5 inch speedo on ebay. As long as you can deal with the mileage not being right - this is not really a problem. I got the added bonus of a clock with my 5inch ebay speedo.

I think that including the ebay speedo - I'm looking at roughly $350-400 to do this mod - not including the price of the tank - which was actually cheap in comparison to all the other parts required.

I used a SB tank and bought gauges and caps off e-bay. Then got everything else from Zaniottis. It's not that bad. I also switched bars and ran wires internally. As long as you have a Manuel. Just keep an eye on e-bay to buy tank and other stuff.

Steeler total with the 6% pa sales tax is 767.64 (before tax its 724.15) most of the stuff if you go with Zanotti online is under dealer cost. I found this out when I went to the local guy (b/c he offers price match) and he got pissed b/c he cant even get the parts for that low.
Most of the screws you dont need because you can reuse them if you want to. Same with the speed nut , vent tube. this is also when you should get the flush mount gas cap and gauge if you want them (Zanotti price on these last summer was $155.16)
