Default Fuel Pac vs Power Comm.

I know you have all heard this before. This is just my opinion, I think I should share this with you. I have an 08 Fat Bob, V&H short shots with a S/E stage one kit, the rest is stock. After installing the V&H fuel pac, my bike did not have the throttle response it did when it was stock. I was kinda disapointed. It also appeared to have lost a little horsepower. Called V&H was told that I might not gain Horse Power due to the two into two exhaust. I recalibrated my throttel, but still was not happy. I was able to live with it, as long as the bike was not running lean. ( so I thought) I also was getting a little bit of ping on excel. DId alot of research on the PC. Just received it from FUEL MOTO. Gave them all I had done to the bike. I installed it and took it for a ride. What a diference, bike starts better, the throttle response is noticable and there is no pinging noise. Again its just my experience, and opinion. Oh ya, anyone want to by a fuel pac. EM me.

It appears not every device works for everyone. It's a shame some of us have to go through 1 or 2 before we find the right fit but apparently that's the case. I've got V&H 2-2 exhaust and when I added the FP and stage 1 a/c, I felt a positive difference right away especially with throttle response.

Same here, have Big Radius 2-2, FP and SE high flow air filter and noticed a huge difference from Stock.

FP works good for my application.
Ness Big Sucker, Big Radius 2-2.
I could feel a big difference.
I'm also running XiED's.

The thing that finally made me swap my Fuel Pak for a PCIII was the realization that the Fuel Pak did not modify my air fuel ratio unless I was over 4000 rpm or 50% throttle. Since the vast majority of my riding is under 4k and 50%, I was afraid I would be running lean most of the time and damage my engine. I guess you could run it in conjunction with IED/XIEDs, but I wanted to be able to modify my entire range and eventually get it dynoed.

I think it's not the device, it's the map.

This is the second time I have heard someone post this and I am still waiting to see proof of this theory. I have not been able to verify this anywhere.
If this is true it would make them worthless 80% of the time and I have a hard time believing any manufacturer could get away with that for long.

So...please post your proof of this claim.

My experience has been the same as that of 2007FXDC.

I stand corrected, you may be right. I see on their website it is for off road and not legal in CA. I know the PCIIIEX is an EPA compliant device and they clearly show the "adjustable" range, but I can't find that same info for FuelPak.

I also heard that none of these devices really do anything and are just filled with used batteries and bottlecaps, but I may be wrong.

Seriously, If I misstated the FP capabilities I apologize. I know V&H has a good rep on their exhaust products.
