I thought this might be fun and interesting to see where all of the parts for the Dyna are coming from. This link should take us to the Picasa map
Yes I am looking forward to riding the new bike I am embarrassed to say until I got the bike I didn't realize how the frame, swing arm and engine is all fastened together!

I am straightening the frame before I remove the engine and transmission.
more images in the album.
I'm still undecided which way to go with the engine cases?
try and have them repaired
buy OEM for close to $800
buy S&S for 1569.00

Went to a local motorcycle swap meet today, probably could have gotten all your sheet metal for you pretty cheap. They definitely had the rear fender, and tank, there was a baker 6 speed for a dyna there too that would have been right at home in your ride
ps, you're missing a location on your map

remember this one?
I finished the bike up and took her for a 60 mile ride last weekend
the 95 with the SE 203 cams runs absolutely great!
I'm finishing up some odds and ends like signal switches and fix the head lamp so the the hi low works. Hope the 60 $ harley switch fixes it. I was quite surprised when I picked up 2 switches to find the were each 60.00 $

between the Deuce and the 68 shovel the Dyna is in the middle.
the stroker shovel is not so smooth, the Dyna smooths out but does have some vibration at idle and chugging around town.
The Balanced 88 in the Deuce is hands down the smoothest ride.
the 95 Dyna hauls A$$ compared to the Deuce.
Got all of the lights working this afternoon. I don't want to talk about what a silly thing I did to make them work.
I Want to thank everyone on the board here who helped me and supplied me with parts. I still need a seat that fits me better. something to set me back a little further.
It wasn't any bargain building this bike but I was looking for a learning experience and got one. Working on the Twin cam engine was GREAT fun. I haven't stopped to add up all the parts I bought but I would guess I am close to 5500 $ plus my labor. I had much more time straightening the frame than I expected.. probably a couple days all together. IT was real bent but after I built a frame jig to anchor it to the World rack I use for Auto repair it came out perfect..
Now I have to heal up after knee surgery I had last week before I can ride the Dyna some more.

Thanks Don,
It was a fun project that took on a life of its own once I got started. gathering parts from members, Ebay and the local Harley shop was fun.
I wasn't sure what color to paint the bike until I bought the fenders from a rider in California, the paint was almost perfect so the tank I bought from another Ebayer was repaired and painted black with the gold stripe. The color probably wouldn't have been my first choice but I couldn't bring myself to re-paint the fenders. I would have had the bike put together sooner but I was ask to build a drag race car http://picasaweb.google.com/rodwgreg...eat=directlink and race it for the owner I couldn't say no!
