Since I've never ridden a Dyna and didn't realize the swing arm is fastened to the transmission I'm wondering how the bike handles and how smooth the ride is with this configuration of the suspension. can anyone compare the difference?
all I have ridden is my 68 flh and soft tail,, excited to give this one a ride but it's going to be a while..
need tank and fenders if any one has any pm me please!

Damaged bikes are usually good deals. but if you trying to rebuild it using 100% new parts it could be expensive. 01 FXD are good bikes (timken crank bearings?), I had 01 Super Glide and this bike was great.

Almost all (except first one) my Harleys were damaged. There were always some suprises dameges wich you couldn`t see on the pictures (like bent front end, wheel, cracked triple tree, some scratches, dead battery, starter etc). Sometimes there could be something more serious like bent frame, swingarm, cracked engine or transmission, but it could be also fixed for small $.

Fixing Harley is cheaper than any other motorcycle. For 500$ I will buy any (except stolen) Harley. Condition is not important It could be after fire, flood, collision etc.

So true if a guy doesn't go into a project like this with both eyes open and look close for secondary damage and expect the worst before the purchase it could be a bad deal.
I have already been offered more than I paid for the bike and if you ask me in a few months I'd probably wish I took the money and ran.
I don't plan on buying new parts any more than I have too. cases are going to be about it so far. since I am a V twin dealer and am getting Harley parts at a discount things are looking good. The best I see so far is the availability of good parts! not like building the shovel heads I've been doing this summer.
Your projects look Great Kamil nice Job!
