my bike is possessed
got on the bike the other day at 5 am to go to work and got a click, click , click then started. was runnin a little late so i chanced it and rode the 30 miles to work. same thing after work, click, click then start so when i got home i cleaned the battery terminals and seemed to fix it.
today on the way home it started cutting out, lights flashing, speedo freaking out going from 0 to pegged and back firing then just died. pulled over turned off key, turned it back on and it started tried to limp it home but only made it 2 miles and it started freaking out again. it's still under warranty so the stealer came and picked it up and sis came and got me.
sorry about the long post but i was curious if anyone else has had to perform an exorcism on their scoot to rid it of evil demons?

My past owned Sportster did it but without the back fire .
I thought, battery terminals , wrong , then new battery , wrong ,
It ended up be the wire that ran from the voltage regulator to the inside of the engine casing to the stator I belive .
I clean my bikes alot , ans most times wash with a hose .
Apparently water was getting into the wire housing and it ended uo oxiding .
I took it apart cleanded it uo and added some electrical contact grease .
Bike ran great , installed old battery and problem solve .
So take your time and check all elecrical connections for tightness and corrosion .

still got a year left on warranty so I'm gona let the dealer figure it out this time but you can bet I'm gona save this info for future refs. thanks for the input.
i have a friend that is an A tech for Harley (unfortunately he's camping right now) that said he sees bikes come in all the time with electrical problems caused by water and rain so he wont ride if there is even a slight chance of rain...i always thought he was being **** about it and figured they should be built to withstand getting wet sometimes. i try to avoid rain but have been caught in 3 or 4 downpours since I've had it and use the hose when i wash. hope i don't have to not ride if the clouds look a little gray.
