Default Wide Glide Triple Trees Conversion for Dyna! Part# and prices!

Hi, As some of you know I converted my Triple Trees on the SB with Wide Glide ones.

Got a lot of questions about what parts I used and where I got them.

Thought I should share the parts youŽll need for this easy and cheap mod!

Here are the two numbers that you need from "V-Twin Manufacturing" http://www.vtwinmfg.com

Actually not expensive at all... And good finish, quick install and a beautyful look.

This is all youŽll need! Re use all the stock bearings, bolts, etc.
Depending on what wheel you use, you may need to buy/make new wheel axle spacers.

Pics not the best, but it looks great in real life!

Good Luck!

Thanks bosken. Do these triple trees give you +2 rake? Also do you know of any good online stores in Europe where you can buy stuff for harleys for cheap (I live in Italy)? Or you think that ordering from the US is the way to go. (For other forum members - notice that harley parts in Europe cost at least twice as much than equivalent parts in the US!!!)

dang HD wants $250, at 20% off at zanotti, for the top tree from a superglide or other dyna WITHOUT built in riser (damn 08 st. bobs). looks like its just as cheap to go to a wideglide front plus you may get some extra rake!!!

I think Wide Glide has a 3 degree rake??? Not sure. Anyway itŽs a copy of stock Wide Glide.

I ordered via a Swedish firm, but it is cheaper to order from the States. BUT BEWARE, the customs can take it and make you pay tax and customs for it!!

Make sure that the US-company lower the $ amount on the package and put that itŽs a gift. Works 8 times of 10..

Well, it was actually, had to loosen the connectors under the tank to get the wires through the top tree...

I should run the clutch cable through there aswell i think...

How did the brake setup work out?

Are you using the Bob hub and brake caliper?

Brake caliper is stock, same position as stock, new brake disc to match the wheel.

Not using bob hub, complete new aftermarket wheel.

If the fork legs are farther apart, it seems you'd have to space the brake caliper over to line up with the rotor. Am I understanding this wrong?

By the way, thanks for reminding me about needing a new axle too.
