You can do like WS6 Formula and re-use your 49 mm tubes and sliders. You will need to go with FXDWG wheels and spacers, which allow you to re-use your original brake caliper and rotor, as well. At a minimum you will need to either get the hub from a Wide Glide or you can get spacers from Custom Cycle Engineering or maybe another source.
The FXDWG fork tubes are a little longer due to the increased fork angle ... if you want to go with over-length front end for the chopper effect, it'll give you about another +2 inches.

not sure i follow here....why would this be any different?
secondly, did you use the wideglide tubes and sliders as well or the stock ones?
if you did use the standard dyna sliders, i guess i also wonder how the caliper still lines up with the brake rotor...unless the offset is built into the new rim...?
