I just asked a question about this on a different thread but got no replies so Ill try here (heading to the stealer tommorrow am so want to make sure he dont give me BS).
I just fitted a Fat Bob tank to my FXD. Got the console but it doesnt fit really flush with tank at the front curved edge of tank. Most people wont notice it but i will. So, I checked part number and found that FXDB part number is: 71211-04 (as noted in this thread). But, dealer gave me: 71211-04A (same number with an "A" on the end). Price for both online is the same.
Are these numbers the same part? I.e. is 71211-04 same as 71211-04A?
Also, is a small gap between console and tank at the front normal?

Just surprised on the fitment--does not fit flush on the curve at the front of the tank. glad I didnt get flush mount gas caps--the raised ones cover up the console gap!
