Can you run just the SE II slip-ons (stock filter) with-out the stage 1 download?

I have a friend who has a FXDWGI and he has SE slip-ons and he told me that he did not have to do anyting to the bike. I have it downloaded on my bike just to have because I added on som slip-ons for noe until I get me some V&H pipes. I might have spent money for nothing though.

I wouldn't because you could cause some lean running heat damage to the engine long term.

Yes you can. ( runs SEII slip ons with stock AC without download.)
I had SEII's on my Bob and the Dealer had it on the sniffer/Dyno and said it was OK, but,
that it was running to the lean end of the spectrum. They said it was OK and would
not effect the warranty.

A remap would be best though .
