Sometimes it might be two weeks before there is no rain in the forecast. Then I'll wash the bike and rinse and blow dry. No point washing a bike that is going to get rained on the next day if you ride everyday. It's gone as long as four weeks before no rain everyday here in Louisiana.
Yeah, I used to live in New Orleans and from May 'til September you get 'pop up' thunderstorms or 'scattered showers' every day for anywhere from 20 min to about an hour, starting from about 1400 to about 1700 (between 2 and 5 PM).
As long as you can stay put, you can avoid getting too wet, but you're likely to hit a few puddles (streets in New Orleans are only 2nd to Boston for worst in the nation!) ....
