Default passenger foot pegs on a DYNA

I read here in the last week or two that the passenger foot pegs on an '06 Dyna are attached to the swingarm and therefore make the ride for a passenger uncomfortable. Is that the case with pevious years also? All models?

Thanks,
Larry

Just on the 06 as far as I know. I have an 05 Wide Glide and they are not on the swingarm.

Same go for the 2004's, the passenger pegs are bolted to a bracket that bolts right to the frame.

Ditto for the 02 Dyna SG. Bolted to the frame and my lady loves it.

FYI, mounting the pegs on the swingarm is not a 'recent item of interest'. HD's been doing it off and on for decades. Actually, the rear pegs are more on the swingarm then off for the FX, FXD bikes going back to '71.

Larry the footpeg mount is close to the pivot point of the swing arm and should not move very much at all. If it was further back toward the back wheel I could see an issue but not where it is mounted. I would think the small amount it does move would be beneficial to the passenger on a longer ride.
